2025 MXGP World Champion 🏆 Romain Febvre

Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP's Romain Febvre set the seal on the 2025 FIM World MXGP Motocross Championship campaign by clinching his second MXGP world title and the first for the Kawasaki KX450-SR with a tactical race to fourth in the first moto of the series finale at Darwin in Australia.

The thirty-three year old had travelled to the final round of the series in the Northern Territory with a forty-seven point advantage over his sole remaining challenger for the title and the decision to abandon the second moto at Darwin due to adverse weather could no longer affect the title outcome.

The title win marks the culmination of a remarkable season of consistency and endurance on the part of the Frenchman and unrivaled performance and reliability of the Kawasaki KX450-SR. It is Febvre's second MXGP world title, ten years after his first - itself a record time span between titles - and the first in the modern four-stroke era for Kawasaki after several near-misses including FIM silver medal rankings for Febvre in 2021 and 2023.

Romain Febvre: "I really don't know what to say; this is such an emotional moment. My ultimate goal for the last ten years has been to be champion again and now I have achieved my goal with Kawasaki. It's been a tough year but we were prepared and we brought it home; my thanks to Kawasaki, the entire KRT team, Monster Energy and all of our sponsors."

Antti Pyrhönen (KRT team manager):  “Of course we are extremely proud and happy about this achievement and, personally, I'm very happy for Romain and the complete team at KRT MXGP plus our loyal sponsors. This is a fitting reward for all the hard work, dedication and sacrifices everybody has made - not only this year but across the multiple years we have been together. When we started this project together with Kimi and Kawasaki, everybody had a clear vision of what we wanted to achieve and the path to that goal. This Championship signifies a great cooperation and team effort and I am extremely thankful that Kimi and Kawasaki has provided us with this opportunity. I am super proud of Romain and everyone involved at every level; and that we have been able to reward them for their commitment”
